Can I use the NIH salary cap on all proposals?

No, NIH salary cap can only be used for sponsors who specifically require the use of the cap. Full salary base must be used for sponsors who do not have a salary cap.

I have a subaward on my proposal, what do I need to provide?

At the minimum, each subaward requires a budget, budget justification, scope of work, and internal forms (EPASS & conflict of interest disclosures). See the Pre-Award Matrix for more information.

Who can serve as a Principal Investigator?

Members of the Academic Senate are eligible to serve as Principal Investigators (PIs). If you are not yet a member, you will need a PI Exception to serve as a PI.

Does your office review internal proposals (UCOP, CTSI, etc)?

No, our office only reviews proposals submitted to external sponsors. Internal proposals, such as CTSI and Office of the President, do not require our review.
